Landers shows off Nissan Leaf at Desoto County Earth Day!
Desoto County's first Earth Day celebration kicked off under sunny skies Saturday, April 30, 2011, with hundreds of residents in attendance to share in a community-wide appreciation of mother nature. The free family event was held from 8 a.m. to noon on the Hernando Courthouse Square in conjunction with the opening of Hernando's Farmers Market, as well as an annual countywide clean-up initiative.
